Nato a Belluno il 26 ottobre 1939, diplomato come Perito Industriale, inizia la sua carriera in Safilo come Dirigente nel 1970. Ricopre il ruolo di Vice Presidente, Amministratore Delegato per poi diventare Presidente del Gruppo nel 1993. Nel 2004 l\u2019Universit\u00e0 di Padova gli assegna una Laurea Honoris Causa in Ingegneria Meccanica, riconoscendo il suo impegno nello sviluppo di processi e materiali innovativi per migliorare la qualit\u00e0 e l\u2019efficienza nella produzione di montature per occhiali. Appassionato d\u2019arte e collezionista, nel 1989 fonda il Museo dell\u2019Occhiale di Pieve di Cadore, lasciando un segno nella valorizzazione della storia dell\u2019occhialeria.<\/p>\n
